Intro To CoreAlign with Audrey

Saturday June 27th at 12pm

This class is for folks who have Reformer experience but are new to CoreAlign.

In this pop-up, Audrey will introduce the equipment and guide you through the basics so you can get comfortable and see what it’s all about.

Pop-Up Classes are special one time only classes that are added to our regular weekly schedule (sometimes with very short notice!).These classes are a great opportunity to try out new classes and new teachers.  Use your apparatus class package or membership to sign up.

CoreAlign classes are for clients with at least three months of Reformer experience who want a new apparatus-based challenge. CoreAlign work emphasizes upright movement, coordinated stepping patterns, and controlled resistance through the legs and trunk. Soometimes Oov work is layered in to shift how balance and support are experienced. These classes builds on familiar Pilates concepts but applies them in less familiar positions, requiring attention, adaptability, and steady pacing.

Hi everyone,

Summer is here, which means many of our teachers will be taking some well-earned time away to travel, be with family, rest, and continue their own learning.

Because of that, you may see more substitute teachers on the schedule than usual over the next several weeks. We want you to know that we are working hard behind the scenes to keep the class schedule as consistent as possible, because we know how important your regular Pilates routine is.

When your usual teacher is away, we strongly encourage you to keep coming to class.

A substitute teacher does not mean your class is less important, less valuable, or less connected to your progress. In fact, taking class with different teachers is something we highly recommend.

Each teacher brings a slightly different eye, different cues, different movement patterns, and different ideas. That variety can help you understand your body in a new way and often supports the work you have already been doing with your regular teacher.

We know summer can make routines feel easier to interrupt, but this is exactly when consistency matters. If you have been making progress, feeling stronger, moving better, or simply building the habit of showing up, we want to help you keep that going.

Our goal is to support both sides of the studio community: helping our teachers take the time off they need, while also protecting the consistency and care our clients count on.

Thank you for staying committed to your routine and for being open to learning from the full teaching team.

March Matness is a social media celebration of Joseph Pilate's Classical Mat Series.

The 34 exercise sequence is challenging and fun but doesn't leave much room for variation and modifications for different bodies.

So we do it different.

Instead of posting images of us doing specific exercises on social media we're encouraging you to try out (or try more) Mat Classes this month.

and since they are brand new, we're excited about them and they use mats...

we're counting CoreAlign classes too.

One person will be randomly selected to win a $500 studio credit!

Here's how:

1. Grab a March Matness Game Card at the upstairs front desk. ----->

2. Collect a sticker from any teacher or staff each and every time you do a Mat or CoreAlign class in the month of March. Yes- you can collect them retroactively.

3. The more stickers you collect the more entries you get for the drawing.

More Classes = More Chances

n April 1st we'll collect the Game Cards, create the entries and pick the winner.

But really, everyone wins...

Just by participating, you'll move more, step outside your usual routine, and maybe discover a new favorite class.

Plus there will be...

This week:
Monday March 2nd at 10am: Pilates Mat Level 2 with Christine
Thursday March 5th at 12pm: Pilates Mat Level 2 with Christine
Thursday March 5th at 6pm: Intro To CoreAlign Level 2 with Kim
Friday March 6th at 10am: Barre Level 2 with Michelle

If you’ve been taking Reformer classes and are ready for the next challenge, this is it.

The majority of CoreAlign work happens upright—stepping, lunging, balancing, and moving in ways that feel surprisingly similar to real life… just a little wobblier. Think of it as Pilates in motion, with a strong focus on gait, posture, and coordination.

Originally designed for rehab and injury prevention, CoreAlign is now a favorite for athletic training—and for anyone who wants to feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected on their feet.

Mondays* at 4pm with Katrina
Tuesdays at 9am with Christine (starting 2/24)
Wednesdays at 9am with Libby
Wednesdays* at 4pm with Audrey
Fridays at 9am with Christine (starting 2/27)

*Katrina and Audrey incorporate the Oov into their CoreAlign teaching.

CoreAlign classes take place in our new downstairs classroom. Enter through the building’s main door and head down the brick staircase. signage coming soon! These classes are included in your Apparatus package or membership.

Please note: CoreAlign is intended for clients with at least three months of regular Reformer experience. The exercises build on familiar Pilates concepts but applies them in less familiar positions, requiring attention, adaptability, and steady pacing.

Those platforms underneath Molly? They slide. Which means this plank is anything but boring. CoreAlign turns even the most familiar moves into a whole-body challenge.

It might look like a lunge but the sliding carts turn a simple movement into a full-body coordination challenge. Laurie says it feels like ice skating. Every step demands focus, balance, and a little bravery.

Standing work on CoreAlign asks your whole body to organize at once. Molly is focused, steady, and doing a heck of a lot more work than it looks.

She's also having a lot of fun.

It’s not about getting it perfect—it’s about staying curious, engaged, and willing to wobble. Molly’s encouraging cues and Laurie’s smile say everything about the kind of learning we love at the studio.

Laurie thought this felt like the Mermaid on the Reformer—at first. But a few moments in, it took a turn: this side bend was way more demanding than expected.

Tilly’s giving this setup her full attention. We’re not sure what she’s learning, but she seems very committed—and with her natural coordination, we’re frankly a little jealous.
