Why This Training
You will learn to:
Program Advantages:
Run a daily practice built on five OOV assessments: the OA joint, diaphragm, psoas, pelvis, hips, and shoulders.
Read the nervous system in real time, in your own body or a client's or patient's.
Make targeted interventions based on what each assessment shows.
Use interoception, the body's ability to sense and respond to itself, as a practical teaching and treatment tool.
Build change that lasts from the inside out, rather than chasing symptoms.
See improvements in areas you weren't directly targeting, because you're working with whole-body patterns.
Add a system to your toolkit that complements Pilates, PT, manual therapy, and fitness work.
Learn a method used by movement professionals, athletes, dancers, and people recovering from injury.
Study in a small, in-person setting with an experienced OOV educator.
Leave with a practice you can use the next morning, on yourself or with clients.
Katrina Hawley
Studio Owner, Polestar® Pilates Educator OOv Educator
Katrina Hawley has been teaching Pilates and movement for more than 20 years, and training teachers for since 2014.. She is a Polestar® Pilates Educator, a nationally certified Pilates instructor, and a Certified Movement Analyst through the Laban Institute. She is also co-owner of The Pilates Studio in Hadley, Massachusetts: a bustling, established studio in the heart of the Pioneer Valley for over 15 years.
Over the past two decades Katrina has become a respected educator through Polestar Pilates, Oov Education, and the Dance Department at the University of Hartford, connecting with hundreds of students and guiding future teachers on their own journeys.
Katrina considers herself a true movement nerd, valuing the joy and freedom of movement over rigid alignment. Her approach to teacher training reflects this: she equips teachers not just with technique, but with a framework for understanding and communicating movement with clarity and confidence. Her background in Laban Movement Analysis gives her a uniquely powerful lens for this work, one that shapes how she teaches teachers to observe, cue, and connect with their students. Her love for movement began with dance, a passion kindled during her childhood in Casper, Wyoming. That same spirit of curiosity and exploration is what she brings to every teacher she trains.

Friday, December 11, 2026 | 4pm–8pm
Foundations: Why the OOV Works
The opening evening introduces the thinking behind the OOV: why pain and poor movement are often signals, and how working with the nervous system differs from strengthening isolated muscles. You'll get on the Oov, feel the difference in your own body, and begin learning the language of the method.
Saturday, December 12, 2026 | 9am–6pm
The Five Assessments
A full day of hands-on practice with the five OOV assessments: the OA joint, diaphragm, psoas, pelvis, hips, and shoulders. You'll learn what each assessment reveals, how to read the response in real time, and which interventions to choose next.
Sunday, December 13, 2026 | 9am–6pm
Putting It Into Practice
The final day brings it together into a daily practice you can use on yourself and with clients or patients. Through partner work and real-world scenarios, you'll practice moving from assessment to intervention with confidence, and leave knowing exactly how to start Monday morning.
