What to do in Inclement Weather

With wintery weather on the way, here’s a quick guide to how we handle studio closures, cancellations, and communication:

1. If the Studio is Fully Closed:

  • We’ll send out an email to all clients (you're receiving this because you're on our email list—yay!).
  • If you’re scheduled for a class or session that day, you’ll also receive a text message directly from us.

2. If a Teacher Cancels a Class:

  • Teachers will cancel their class at least one hour in advance if they can't make it in safely.
  • You’ll receive an email and/or text notification—but only if your class reminder notifications are turned on.
  • You can also check the live schedule online to see if a class has been cancelled.

3. If a Teacher Cancels a Private, Duet, Semi-Private Small Group or Independent Session:

  • Someone from the studio will contact you directly by email or text.

4. If the Studio is Open, but You Can’t Make It:

  • We totally understand—if you’re snowed in or can’t get out, please email or text us as soon as possible to let us know. You will not be charged a late cancel.

You can always reference this and other important information on our website.

Mornings with bad weather are extremely busy behind the scenes—we’re often juggling changes from teachers and clients, plus our own family logistics.

Email and text are by far the fastest, most helpful way to get your message to us and we truly appreciate it.
