Notification of Closure During Pandemic

To all our wonderful clients and friends,

With heavy hearts and so much compassion for the world right now we are announcing that The Pilates Studio will be closed until further notice.  

 Important Info:

  • All of your packages and memberships are on hold until we open again. No need to worry about expiration dates.

  • We will be offering Private Tele-Sessions with Katrina. 
  • Our online Tele-Class membership is up! 

Our online Tele-class membership means you get access to:

 This membership is a suggested price of $100/month however we know everyone is experiencing the financial stress and struggle as us so we’d love to give you access to this membership for any amount you can afford.  

The Pilates Studio has been our sole livelihood, our passion and our dream come true  for the last 20 years. We have such full hearts for each and everyone one of you who have supported us in so many ways.

Spring Forward Reformer Series

Wednesdays 6:15pm with Suzanne

2/26- 4/1 with a make up class scheduled for 4/8

Join a fun group for a creative evening workout and interesting challenges.

You’ll start on February 26th, and each week your balance, core stability, and body mobility will improve with challenging and creative Reformer exercises. In no time, you will be anticipating Spring instead of loathing Winter.

And the best part? Week after week, as you leave class feeling fantastic, you’ll notice it’s lighter out than it was the week before.

7 Week Mat & Apparatus Series for Riders with Suzanne Mente

Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm 1/31/18-3/7/18 with a bonus/makeup class on 3/14/18

Suzanne will include exercises on the new & innovative Oov apparatus.
Sign up & attend any 6 classes during the 7 week series for $130.  Bonus class is $20.

We welcome riders coming right from the barn- britches count as yoga pants!

Pilates is a great method to help you develop a stronger and more supple riding position.  Over the eight week series you’ll learn ways to improve posture in the saddle, strengthen legs & abdominals and increase hip mobility. We’ll have fun using all the pilates apparatus- including the new Oov- which challenges balance and coordination- the closest I have found to having an actual horse in the studio!

Each week you’ll learn new mat exercises you can practice at home, and we’ll use the reformer, trapeze table, chair, spring boards and ladder barrel to explore exercises specific to the needs of riders. This class will be suitable for both those new pilates as well more experienced movers, the level of difficulty can be adjusted for every exercise.

Laurie is back!

Laurie started teaching Pilates Mat Classes in 2005 and for years she taught every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12pm. Between Ethan being born and the studio growing so much she had to step back to take care of business. But now she’s coming back- A LOT stronger (after almost 2 years of wrangling Ethan). Her classes are chatty, fun and she’s been known to make up games and challenges for clients to do on the spot. This intermediate class is perfect for folks who know the Pilates basics, and can modify as needed on an individual basis. Don’t be intimidated though!

Laurie is known to encourage a nap on the
mat instead of the ab series.
Sometimes naps are more important.

She’s really excited to back downstairs and teach you the new plank she learned.

I’ve never done Pilates before. Is this a good event for me?

This event was created for you! We packed our schedule with a variety of what we offer at the studio so you can try anything and everything you want- no experience necessary!

I heard Pilates would be good for me but I have an injury/specific concern and I’m not sure if doing Pilates in a class environment will be safe.

Sign up for one of our Injury and Chronic Pain Consults. You’ll meet one on one with a qualified instructor who will address your concerns, explain if and how Pilates can help and point you in the right direction.

I saw on your schedule that there is a Reformer Class at 9am and a Mat Class at 10am but I can’t register for those with my day pass.  How come?

These 2 classes are not part of Pilates Fest.  They are our regular Saturday morning classes.

I really want to try a class but there is a wait list.  Any chance I’ll get in?

Definitely add yourself to wait lists of classes you want to take.  This shows us what people want and if we can we will add in more classes.  People are shifting their schedules as we add things so yes, there is a chance.  We will contact you from our email address: ThePilatesStudioinHadley@gmail.com if you get moved off the wait list.
